The attraction of girls playing volleyball has always been a theme of popular manga and anime, dating back to the smallish shorts they would wear to the bikini/beach volleyball age. Generally, female volleyball players may not be extraordinary looking, but mostly are all very toned in the abs and buttocks, tan, and have longer legs, and along with the characteristic of any pro athlete, seem to have superhuman strength which is a turn on for those types of men that may be attracted to semi-masculine traits in females and enjoy that female athletes can serve as sex objects because their careers are focused around maintaining their physical condition.
