The Demographics Of College Lacrosse

Lacrosse in the United States is a recognized team sport on the collegiate level. The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has 57 Division I, 32 Division II, and 131 Division III men teams. College lacrosse also includes ladies with 83 Division I, 37 Division II and 154 Division III women teams. An organization called The Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association allows over 200 college lacrosse teams from major universities across the United States.

Mitchell College Lacrosse

Mitchell College, located in New London, Connecticut has a college lacrosse team called The Pequots, which is for men’s Division III varsity. Duke’s University’s college lacrosse team is one of the top teams in NCAA’s Division I category. Virgina, North Carolina and Maryland follow closely behind. Duke University has a long-standing and well-noted rivalry with North Carolina.

Bridgewater State College Club Lacrosse

Bridgewater State College, located in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, competes in Division III of the NCAA. Their athletic department sponsors many sports including college lacrosse for Women and Club Sports for men’s varsity lacrosse.

Elite 500 Lacrosse Camp At Loyola College

Loyola College, located in Baltimore, Maryland, has a college lacrosse team called The Greyhounds. Sports on the intercollegiate level exists for men and women many sports including lacrosse. The teams at Loyola College compete in the NCAA’s Division I category. Loyola College’s men and women college lacrosse teams are both formidable competitively: the men’s lacrosse team competes in the Eastern College Athletic Conference while the women’s lacrosse team is a Big East associate member.

Bentley College Lacrosse

Bentley College, a business school located in Waltham, Massachusetts, offers college lacrosse teams for both men and women. The lacrosse team is called The Bentley Falcons. The both the men and women’s college lacrosse team competes in the Division II category of the NCAA .

Lemoyne College Lacrosse

LeMoyne College, located in Syracuse, New York has both college lacrosse teams for both women and men. Their mascot is a dolphin and their athletic teams are called the LeMoyne Dolphins. The men’s team competes in the Division II category and is a member of the Northeast Ten Conference. LeMoyne men’s College lacrosse team has won multiple NCAA Division II Championships. LeMoyne College formed it’s college lacrosse team in 1984. In 2007, the women lacrosse team won the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Tournament Championship.

Montgomery College In Maryland

Montgomery Community College, located in Montgomery, Maryland. Montgomery College belongs to both the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and the Maryland Junior College Athletic Association (JUCO). Out of the three campuses that this junior college has, its Rockville Campus offers sports teams including college lacrosse.
